New phones

Kyle and I are on a new every two plan for our phones.  But, we never upgrade every two years.  It is more like every three or four.  The zero key on his phone now only works haphazardly, and mine was looking kind of beat up from dropping it often.  So, I got online and looked at some phones.  There were some that would be free with a combination of our upgrade points and an online discount.  So, I ordered us each a new phone.  With our previous phones, when I upgraded, they had a buy one, get one free.  So we have the exact same phone.  Sometimes I would grab his phone by mistake.  The only way to tell the difference was to open the flip phone and see what pictures was the wallpaper.  Now for the new phones, they are exactly the same except, his is black and mine is red.   We got the Samsung Intensity.

It's like we have his and her phones.  It was fun playing with the new toy.  I programmed all the sounds, backgrounds, and moved the contacts over from the old phones to the new phones using backup assistant.  I've been doing more texting lately and wanted a phone that had a QWERTY keyboard set up.  These have a keyboard underneath that slides out.

So, just wanted to brag a bit about my new, free phone.

Spring Term

So last Monday was my last final exam for Winter Semester.  Now, this week Tuesday I started classes for Spring Term.  I have 3 classes from Monday to Thursday.  One Monday I have a Multicultural class 4-7pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have Curriculum and Instruction 4-7pm, and on Wednesdays I have Practicum Prep 4-6pm.  Also, I have an online English class.  That's 13 credits for this term.  So I'm back in the swing of things.

I was working on an assignment from last night's class and Kyle says, "Geesh, you already have homework?  They don't waste any time."  Nope, they don't, not when you try to cram a whole semester's worth of classes into a term.

But, the end is in sight.  Next year at this time I will be graduating.  Yay!

It's Pinewood Derby Time!

Last night was our Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts.  Kyle and Cooper have been working hard getting the car cut out, sanded, painted, and wheels put on just right.

Cooper wanted an Army El  Camino.
He used some of his Lego pieces for the gun and such.  The paint job is actually a wrap.  Kyle wasn't sure how to paint camo by hand, so they bought a paint wrap.

Here is Cooper's car for his second racing heat.  He is the car in the middle.  He continually did well, sometimes beating another car by .02 of a second.  The boys voted on each other's cars: best paint job, fastest looking car, best looking car.  Cooper got best looking car.  All boys got a trophy, 100 grand, and a certificate.  Then the final results were announced, Cooper got 2nd place!

Ok, Ok, I know, I haven't posted in a while.

OK, here are some photos that I've said I would post.

First, Chloe lost her first tooth, now it's kind of hard to tell at first because she had a space between her two front top teeth.  But, she lost one of her front bottom teeth.

Cooper had to get in on the action.  He has lost about four teeth.  Since he doesn't have any top front teeth, he now has a lisp.  I tease him that he looks like a Jack O' Lantern.  He thinks that's funny.

An update on the puppies.  They are now like gangly teenagers.
Here they are.  Speck is the white one, Pepper is the gray one.  They are always getting into something.  They fight over everything.  If one has a stick, the other wants it. Or if one has a bone, the other wants it, even though she has her own bone.  Usually it is Speck taking from Pepper.  I think Speck sees herself as the alpha female between the two.
